Kathleen Robison

Inspired by nature and the stunning California coast, Robison paints in the plein air “Alla Prima” fashion — meaning she mostly paints outdoors all in one sitting. The Orange County artist loves this style and the challenge of creating a scene in the open air with a limited amount of time. In addition to her impressionist work, Robison is also a figurative painter and spends time in studio to paint her larger scale pieces.

“There is no shortage of beauty surrounding us,” said Robison. “Subject matters in nature are truly captivating and unlimited. It is truly magical to share what I see and paint with others.”

Robison graduated with a bachelor of fine arts in graphic arts and a bachelor of arts in American studies from California State University, Fullerton. She has taken oil painting workshops led by great artists in California. Robison travels all throughout southern California showcasing her paintings at festivals. She exhibits her works in the Studio 7 Gallery in Laguna Beach.

Christopher Stillians

Christopher Stillians

I have been a portrait photographer my entire career of 42 years. I believe each subject I photograph is unique, and that a portrait should reflect this. Environmental portraiture, that is, photography done on location in your home, garden, office or other special place, is the best way to express the individual characteristics of a person or family. In 2005 I began venturing into new artistic territory. Thanks to digital technology I realized a career long dream. I can take a photographic image, and with the aid of a computer, transform it through digital painting techniques into a digital painting. My subject matter has now evolved to include anything I decide to point my camera at.
